Police hope a worldwide audience for a new TV documentary on the horrific murder of supermarket worker Alan Wood could help solve the case.

Alan, 50, last seen alive at The Willoughby Arms, in Little Bytham, was tortured over some hours – repeatedly stabbed in the head – and had his throat slit, the fatal wound that saw him bleed to death at home in Lound, near Bourne, in October 2009.

A website dedicated to a murder investigation has been set up by Lincolnshire police.

Alan Wood, 50, was bound and tortured in his home in Lound near Bourne in October 2009.

Detectives have said, aside from the theft of a few hundred pounds, the motive for the killing remained a mystery.

Two years on from the brutal murder of Alan Wood police are still hunting for his killers.

Alan, who was last seen alive at The Willoughby Arms, in Little Bytham, was subjected to a horrific and sustained attack in his home in Lound, near Bourne. His body was found on October 24, 2009.
