Easter in theBythams

With the Easter weekend fast approaching it seems a good idea to detail some of the happenings in theBythams area from Good Friday on 22nd April through to Easter Monday on 24th.

The Willoughby Arms will be holding an Easter Eggstravaganza from Good Friday through to Easter Monday with a children’s bouncy castle, an Easter Egg Hunt, colouring competition and a giant Easter Egg Raffle.  The pub and beer garden, will be open throughout the weekend and meals will be available from 12.00noon to 9.oopm each day.

Easter Services will also be taking place in our local churches over the weekend as follows …
Good Friday – Liturgy for Good Friday, Creeton, 2.00pm
Holy Saturday – Easter Vigil (Deanery Event), Little Bytham, 7.00pm
Easter Day – Holy Communion, Castle Bytham, 9.00am and Family Communion, Careby, 10.30am

Over the Easter period a number of local services will be operating to amended opening times.  For convenience the details of those we are aware of are listed here …

Castle Bytham Stores … will be opening as follows …
Good Friday : 7.30am to 7.30pm
Easter Saturday : 7.30am to 7.30pm
Easter Sunday : 8.00am to 12.30pm
Easter Monday : 8.00am to 12.30pm

Glenside Country Practice … will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday – as well as the normal Saturday closure.  Instead anyone needing medical assistance is urged to dial the new Non-Emergency 111 number or NHS Direct on 0845 4647 for non-emergencies and 999 for emergencies.

Refuse/ Recycling Collections will change as follows …
